In 1986, a group of like-minded Range Rover owners came together and formed the South Australian Branch of the Range Rover Club of Australia. Following the Incorporation of the club later that year it is officially named the Range Rover Club of Australia – South Australian Branch.
With the release of the Land Rover Discovery in 1989, the club expanded its profile and is now commonly known as the “Range Rover Discovery Club of SA”.
We are affiliated with the Four Wheel Drive South Australia (FWDSA), which gives us representation to National, State and Local Governments regarding issues that effect 4x4 drivers. Through FWDSA a national Public Liability Insurance Policy has been specifically devised to covers members during Club activities and trips.
The Club’s Statement of Purpose is in two parts:
It is not necessary to drive a Land Rover produced vehicle to become a member of our Club. All other marques of 4WD are encouraged to join and we pride ourselves on being a friendly, sociable and inclusive club. We offer a range of activities and trips, including day trips, social outings, long weekend trips plus longer adventures over several weeks. Have a look at the Photo Gallery section to see the vast range of locations the club has visited.
Historic, Left Hand Drive and Street Rod Vehicle Accreditation has been achieved and the Club is now able to offer Club Registration for vehicles over 30 years old. This registration permits ninety days use over a twelve month period through a Log Book system, enabling considerable registration fee savings on older vehicles only driven occasionally. View the Club Registration section for more details.
Other services offered to members include: Off-road driver training, mechanical and technical advice about Range Rover, Discovery and Defender issues as well as towing and camping hints and advice.
With members' strong commitment to the environment, we are involved with Adopt A Spot and undertake an annual beach clean. Our other annual environmental project is Cactus culling in the Blinman area of the Flinders Ranges
We welcome new members and we encourage you to attend our meetings. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month and if you would like to attend a meeting or seek more information, the Contact Page has more details or write to: [email protected]
Hoping to see you soon.

- The holding, arranging, organising and conducting of events, rallies, meetings, four wheel drive tours and social functions for owners of Range Rovers and other four wheel drive vehicles.
